St Johns Bridge 2
After jumping into the freezing cold Willamette, I had to shoot some photos of the Saint Johns Bridge and the sunset. I took my tripod out to waist level and was able to get this awesome low angle!

Lower Multnomah
Another photo of the amazing Multnomah falls, but from the bottom of the first falls. This photo took a lot more patience to get, due to the amount of mist. I spent almost 3 hours shooting from these two locations before I hiked up to the top to check out the view.

Baring Mountain
The view of the Baring mountain from the snohomish was breathtaking, literally! I waded to my waist up the river about 50 yards, and that water was freezing, but was well worth it!

Bridal Veil falls
2 miles into the hike to Lake Serene, Bridal Veil falls roars off the trail. A little trek through the trees allows you to go right up to the base of the waterfall and even in one spot underneath the falls!

Nooksack Cave
After long drive to Nooksack waterfall near Mt Baker, I really wanted to get down to the bottom of the falls. A 20 foot cliff stood in our way, but I’ve been bringing rope on all of my adventures, so we repelled down the cliff, only to find that the waterfall wasn’t accessible unless we swam up the white water narrow river canyon. This adventure will have to wait until the river isn’t freezing from glacier runoff, but I did find this awesome cave at the bottom of the cliff.

Lake Serene
Hiking up to Lake Serene has been one of the highlights of my year so far! The hike is a 7.2 mile round trip, and the last 1.5 miles of the hike climb 1,300 feet of switchbacks.This beautiful lake at the bottom of mt index is definitely serene. We headed down right at sunset due to the trail being covered in avalanche prone slopes, and a slippery snow trail. We did however bring rope and roped up to each other, just in case. This was a very bad day to forget my hiking boots, and only bring a pair of mesh slip on shoes, luckily I had wool socks.

St Johns Bridge
